Psychiatry and Medication Management
Some individuals require medication in addition to therapy to help manage a range of symptoms. If medication is being considered, Dr. Lauren Cashion will work with families to determine the appropriateness of certain types of medication for specific problems.
In order to determine if medication is appropriate, Dr. Cashion will complete a diagnostic evaluation. If medication is determined to be appropriate, Dr. Cashion will monitor medication at regular follow up appointments to ensure an individual is responding well to treatment and make appropriate adjustments as needed.
Dr. Cashion and Annapolis Child and Family Therapy center make treatment recommendations based on current evidence-based practices regarding what research demonstrates to be most effective for specific problems.
